SouLe & The SuperBand is a North Carolina-based Funk & R&B Soul collective, united by a shared commitment to musical excellence, performance, and cultural preservation. Rooted in the sounds of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, the band delivers high-energy, professionally curated concert experiences that honor the legacy of soul music while showcasing the strength of a cohesive, dynamic ensemble.

Formed in the Triangle region through a moment of true serendipity, the group brings together top-tier musicians, educators, and performers—many of whom are instructors and mentors in their respective fields, with backgrounds in composition, arranging, and conducting. This foundation gives SouLe & The SuperBand a level of musical precision, intentionality, and versatility that sets them apart on the regional circuit.

At its core, the band functions as a unified musical force. Each member contributes to the overall sound, energy, and direction of the performance, anchored by a tight rhythm section, a powerful horn line, and layered vocal arrangements. While featured performances by Black Diamond and SouLe—including tributes to Tina Turner and James Brown—serve as highlights within the show, the strength of SouLe & The SuperBand lies in its collective ability to create a full, immersive concert experience.

Their repertoire spans a rich catalog of legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Sam Cooke, Sam & Dave, Jackie Wilson, and Johnny Taylor, as well as original music that reflects the band’s deep roots in Soul, R&B, Blues, and Jazz traditions.

In December 2025, SouLe & The SuperBand released their debut album, Funkin Confusion, a project that captures their original sound while honoring the influences that shaped them. Released exclusively through their website, the album represents the band’s commitment to artistic ownership and sustaining the value of live musicianship.
